Everyone Has a Story
Dear Mama,
Have you ever heard you’re “Living the Dream?” Taken literally, you may wish you could sleep long enough to dream. In reality, you are a sleep deprived mom, physically tired from the work that you do 24/7. You are a mom with family and work demands piling up around you. The time to do anything for yourself seems to drift away to oblivion. Sound familiar?
In the middle of this busy life, you are writing YOUR story. Some days are easier than others. Although, some stories may turn into long chapters if you are going through something unexpected or challenging. The good news is that Jesus knows the big picture of your story. He is putting the pieces together in ways you may not fully understand but these ways will bring you more character, personal growth and testimonies to share with others. You are not alone in your story. Jesus is with you every step of the way and you can always trust Him to be there. Know that the time will come when the challenging chapter of your life settles and you can clearly see His direction. You will see how your faith, not fear, got you through.
Whatever is positive or negative about your story right now, embrace living in the middle of it. In 1928, John A. Shedd shared a powerful quote, “A ship in the harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.” Mama, you are built for the deep water, through the storms or calm seas that come your way. In the end, always know that the lighthouse will pull you back to safety and that light will always lead the way.
Prayerfully,
Jennifer Bosma
